This weekend is Memorial Day weekend in the United States. It is a day to remember those that gave the greatest sacrifice for our country in her time of need. But I wanted to take the time to say that I know that over the years Americans have not always fought alone, so on this Memorial Day I want to say Thank You to all those that have given and served and defended. I want to begin by sharing the words of President Woodrow Wilson;
On Sunday, 28th of this present month, will occur the fourth
anniversary of the day when the gallant people of Serbia, rather than
submit to the studied and ignoble exactions of a prearranged foe, were
called upon by the war declaration of Austria-Hungary to defend their
territory and their homes against an enemy bent on their destruction.
Nobly did they respond. So valiantly and courageously did they oppose
the forces of a country ten times greater in population and resources
that it was only after they had thrice driven the Austrians back and
Germany and Bulgaria had come to the aid of Austria that they were
compelled to retreat into Albania. While their territory has been
devastated and their homes despoiled, the spirit of the Serbian people
has not been broken. Though overwhelmed by superior forces, their love
of freedom remains unabated. Brutal force has left unaffected their firm
determination to sacrifice everything for liberty and independence.
It is fitting that the people of the United States, dedicated to the
self-evident truth that is the right of the people of all nations, small
as well as great, to live their own lives and choose their own
Government, and remembering that the principles for which Serbia has so
nobly fought and suffered are those for which the United States is
fighting, should on the occasion of this anniversary manifest in an
appropriate manner their war sympathy with this oppressed people who
have so heroically resisted the aims of the Germanic nations to master
the world. At the same time, we should not forget the kindred people of
the Great Slavic race--the Poles, the Czechs and Jugo-Slavs, who, now
dominated and oppressed by alien races yearn for independence and
national unity.
This can be done in a manner no more appropriate than in our churches.
I, therefore, appeal to the people of the United States of all faiths
and creeds to assemble in their several places of worship on Sunday July
28, for the purpose of giving expression to their sympathy with this
subjugated people and their oppressed and dominated kindred on other
lands, and to invoke the blessings of Almighty God upon them and upon
the cause to which they are pledged.
Woodrow Wilson, President
The White House, July 1918
Unfortunately, within 20 years time, the world was at war again. During the hell that Hitler brought to Europe and the world, those
nations that stood against such hatred driven aggression were both big
and small, rich and poor, yet, it can be said, each was great in spirit
and deeds. Here in the States, as I am sure happened in other nations as
well, gung-ho boys lied about age and even pretended to be older
brothers or cousins to join the cause. On the surface there was a clear
defined enemy in Hitler and the Nazis. The need to defeat the Axis powers was a palatable one. Every citizen
of the world seemed to know the dire consequences if there were no
victory. There are several 'simplistic' actions that aided in the
eventual defeat of Hitler's Nazi Germany. First, Hitler's own arrogance
blinded him to the limits of his military resources and assets. Second,
Hitler was not able to engage any enemy in a two-front scenario, instead
he was the one trying to win on several fronts against several enemies.
How did this happen? Hitler believed he could conquer both east and
west at the same time, however, the western front was a battle fought
mostly by the French and Brits with the inclusion of the Americans with
the D-Day invasion. On the eastern front he fought the Russians, whose
will to resist he greatly underestimated, he did understand the numbers
as well as the disadvantage of fighting in winter. His answer to
overcome the minor issues with Russia was to cut through the Balkans
thus forcing Russia into a 2 front war, west and south. In order to
achieve this the German Army had to accomplish something that it had
been unable to do in WWI, defeat the Serbs. Hitler's solution was to use
Bulgaria to this end. History does tell us just how well that worked
out for Hitler, so I will not retell that story. However, I will refer
to one that is little known to even students of history, that is of the
Forgotten 500.
The fact that Hitler was soundly defeated was not the
fault of an incompetent or impotent military, on the contrary, it many
ways the Big 5 powers spent the war playing catch up with German
technology and weapons designs. No, what defeated Hitler was that those
fighting against him were fighting for something larger than themselves,
whereas, especially by the end of the war, most Germans were merely
trying to get out alive. The fight for the air was especially brutal.
Allied pilots faced high mortality rates and even higher chance of being
shot down and captured. Just such was the fate of over 500 Americans
over Serbia/Yugoslavia during the war. Unknown to the American airmen
was that politicians and intelligence community had already decided that
Serbia/Yugoslavia would be a future enemy after the war. Thus American
airman were warned about the brutal Serbs that would as soon kill them
as look at them. The reality that a very lucky 500 Airmen discovered
couldn't have been further from the briefings they received pre-mission.
The reality that America never told its fighting boys or their public
was the lengths to which regular Serbs went to not only rescue and hide
downed Allied personnel but to care for them, not only when it was maybe
inconvenient, but also fatal.
While we were there, those of us who
were wounded were given whatever medical supplies they had even at the
deprivation of their own troops. If there was one piece of bread in
the house, or one egg, it went to the American airmen while the Serb
went hungry.
If
there was one bed or one blanket, it went to us while the Serb slept on
the bare ground. No risk of sacrifice was too great to insure our
safety and well being. One experience which is forever seared in my
memory is the time a village with 200 women and children was burned to
the ground by the Germans because the Serbs would not tell them where
they were hiding us. To this day, I can smell the terrible stench of
their burning flesh. One does not forget such things.
So
on this Memorial Day, as one American who knows, I want to thank, not
only the men and women that wore the uniform of the US, but also those
whom wore other uniforms or no uniforms that helped, aided, and stood
side by side with the US in her past times of struggle. May we one day
return to our honor and also to our truth! Veliki hvala Srbiji!

Changing Education in Serbia....
As another condition to joining the sinking EU, Serbia needs to reform its education system.
There are many countries that need to reform their education systems,
some that are more 'developed' than Serbia. Part of the 'issue' seems to
be that the best and brightest of Serbia's students leave their home
country to make it some where else. This basic premise seems to imply
that Serbia's education system isn't maybe as 'bad' as the EU Commission
makes it seem. It would actually seem that the greatest reforms should
be in the economy and market place as well as in research and
development to create an environment that allows for the best to stay
home and make their mark on the world from Serbia.
As I said most education systems need to be reformed. Most of them no longer educate, instead they train children to grow into compliant obedient workers for mega-corporations.
This immoral mentality is destroying the culture of humanity. We are not robots. We are creative, curious, adventurous, explorers of the amazing, wonderful world around us. We should be teaching our children to cultivate those traits with respect and morals. Education systems should encourage and treasure the various talents of each and EVERY child. For it is in this manner that we can truly ensure that humanity retains its humanness. We are so focused on advancing our materialistic interests that we forget our cultural needs as well as losing our respect for our heritage, especially if it conflicts with the materialistic advance. This error will be more damaging than any other action by any group or disaster that could impact the planet. It is a complete and total disgrace that not only are we throwing away historical artifacts and locations, we are also not teaching students to value, understand or gain from the knowledge left us by our ancestors.
Serbia is a prime location for a REAL reform in education. Let's start by showing the EU the door, minding our manners, of course. Then let's preserve all the history and knowledge of Serbia, both her land and people. Then lets get innovative and motivated and use that rich treasure as our guide for the future. Let Serbia be a new example for how to get it right, how to balance materialistic advances with our humanness. It can be done, we can have both. We can treasure our past and our history and still take steps forward in the materialistic world. This is the perfect time for Serbia to break free embrace her independence and blaze her own path.

Sitnice Znace/ Small things matter
Imam 25 godina, radim dva posla i pored toga radim i privatno, kad ugrabim vremena.
I'm 25, I'm working two jobs, and I do some private business, when I grab the time. I live in a rented apartment with a girlfriend. I'm chasing money 24/7... Now I chase money for rent, utilities, daily necessities ... In the 7th grade I started to work with dad in his workshop. Since then, my parents did not hear about "I need new shoes," "I need the money for excursion," "I need the money to go out "... In high school, all the guys fled from classes in order to go to coffee shops, while I was skipping clases in order to throw sacks of fertilizer with two friends of mine, 50e by truck, 3-4 trucks per day ... when I was in college my parents did not hear, "I need money for scripts, for tests, for a flat ... " To most of you this is cool, but I do not remember when was the last time I was truly delighted ... you know like a little kid when he gets favorite candy bar or a huge toy in the New Year's gifts ... We should look forward to the little things and meet little things with joy. But that little thing I still have not found ...

-Theory of CIRCLE and Double AMPLITUDES- ANSWER TO ULTIMATE QUESTION - The Beginning-
In previous post i stated that i'm more on the church side than Darvins when comes to creation of human and world as we know it. The Bible claims that the God created entire word as we know it in only seven days(number 7 is a leitmotif through entire Bible).. God created Earth, sky, day - night, plants, animals and human. God gived that name to that human. He called him Adam.God saw that Adam was lonly, and he took one rib from him, and from that him the God created female. God called her Eva. Eva opened opened eyes to Adam, and all of us... That b**ch just had to eat that apple. Ignorance is a bless, some say... OK back to the topic. Those of you who read the Bible probably noticed something weird. Entire population became from Adam and Eve. Which means Eve gave borth to several daughters and sons. Which means those brothers and sisters had intercorse with each other, and their kids had intercorse with each other... And we know that by the God that is a BIG no no.(p.s. that means we are all degenerates) But to those of you that are hardcore christians, you guys don't care beacuse you see only what your religion show you. Another thing, when you start reading Bible from the beginning, you notice how everything goes in some kind of order, a gradual gradation. God created Earth, sky, animals etc... Everything kinda slowly starts to unfolds until Adam and Eve start to reproduce. At that point you have a big leep. Like something is missing... When you continue to read the Bible you will notice that a lot of things are unfinished, inconclusive. Durin during the reign of Diocletian, Constantine and Galien(i mention only this two names because they are most relevant to this topic.) Christianity has suffered the greatest persecution, but also a freedom. In order to bring down chrsitianity to bigger masses Bible had to suffer some changes. So few pages here and there are tosed out from the picture, and whoala we have THE BIBLE. The cause for wars, the cause for difrences and all that nasty thing. Than when we add difrent religions in to the picture faith and belief of the people are starting to use to manipulate the same people. And the whole Bible and religion thing are starting stand on a shaky legs. This is the reason why I personaly keep relegion and faith in God separate. It doesn't matter how you call the God, how you call the holy rituals and how you perfor them... Only thing that matters is that you believe in Him. If you believe, if you stick to basic moral, human codes, if you stick to The Decalogue, The Ten Commandments you will go to the heaven, no matter what religion you are. Simply as that.
Stay tunned, we just started to warm up. :)

-Theory of CIRCLE and Double AMPLITUDES- ANSWER TO ULTIMATE QUESTION - INTRO -
Have you ever wonder, how the world as we know was created? Have you ever wonder, how was the enternal universe created? Have you ever wonder, how were the humans, animals and plants created?
I know I did. I have wondered since I saw the light of day. When we are little we litteraly absorb all information around us, like a sponge. As all of you, dear readers, I absorbed all information around me. First I learned through cartoons and encyclopedias for kids that the planet emerged by the Sun after the Big Bang, and then slowly started to cool. Than the school taught us the Kant-Laplace theory as the most relevant. For those who don't know or don't remember the theory, here is a short flashback. Kant-Laplace theory a.k.a. Nebular hypothesis is the most accepted theory explaining formation and evolution of Solar System (and The Milk Way ). The theory, about the Solar System is it is formed out of nebular masses/materials in space. Early beliefs were that the Earth was created by the Gods, and some believed that the Earth was in the shape of a disk (like a modern CD). Than some never believs were that the Earth is in shape of a ball and that the Earth is in center of universe and everything else revolves around her. This is called geocentric system and at that time church taught the people that this is the only truth. Then Galileo came in the picture with his heliocentric theory, which we know for sure that is the TRUTH. Sun is in the center, and other planets revolves around it. But the church didn't like that so they put him under house arrest. Some say that his last words were "Eppur si muove" , ruff translation would be "nevertheless it's turning" . Than we have theorys how the humans, animals and plants are created. In the beginning it was the Gods that created humans and etc. Than we have the theory that the God(Jehovah, Allah, God....) created humans and etc... Then Darvin showed up. You know, that creepy lookin' guy that was kicked out from medical college, who later married his cousin. Well this lovely chap claimed that the plants and animals came from simple, cells you know amoebas and such... But the best part is that the humans came from a monkeys... Monkeys started to evolve/mutate bit by bit until modern human, homo sapiens sapiens is born. Personally I'm more on the church side than on this one. (I'm not on the church side about all things, but we will talk later about that). So Darvin basically said, as I see it, one monkey fell from the tree and became human. While other monkey stayed on the tree and continued to eat banana... So here we have some basic theories and beliefs that were poppin' out from the beginning of human era till now. In the next posts I will start to expose my theory and beliefs. So stay tuned, trust me it is going to be very interesting to you dear readers.

Welcome to Serbia
Welcome everybody! Welcome to this blog about my country, my region, my city! Welcome to Serbia! Welcome to Srem! Welcome to Sremska Mitrovica!
Place where every thing runs slowly. Place where people look at all their problems and say FUCK IT. They just pour some white wine in glass with some sparkling water over it, and salute to the person on the right and drink it bit by bit. While in the background a sweat sound of TAMBURASI is coming.
If you close your eyes you can hear whistling wind, whistling through the ears of wheat, in all this plain of Srem . You can hear people singing and laughing in cafana's.
Close your eyes again. Do you see it? Do you see that person wearing white clothes with the black vest over it and black hat on his head? Can you see it how he is drinking cold white wine under the shade, during his break after working on his crops. Can you see it? Can you see that short guy with big stomach? You see that guy, that is Sremac.
This is the guy who did not care what nationality other people were; this is the guy who does not care which nationality other people are; this is the guy that would not care what nationality other people might be.
And I am just like that guy. Another usual, typical Sremac. And all of you that are currently reading this and thinking in your small closed minds filled only with westernized propaganda about Serbs and genocide and war crimes, how they did this, did that, how they are responsible for all the mess that happened here in The Balkans. Please, Get The Fuck Outta Here. Because your small, low IQ brains can not accept different and true information. And I am not willing to explain individually to each one of you who saw a couple news headlines and now think that you have all the knowledge of this world... And all of you who want to see the real Serbia, all of you who want to meet Serbia on her inside. Please stay and forgive me for my bad language in the previous sentences.
You saw that Sremac, right? Did you hear the giggling next to him? If not close your eyes again and hear it. Now move your look a bit to the right. Now you see from where that giggling coming from. It is from kids of the Sremac. You see those kids playing soccer, basketball, tennis...? You see those kids? They are the next Branislav Ivanovic, the next Vlade Divac, they are the next Peja Stojakovic, the next Ana Ivanovic, they are the next Novak Djokovic... Those people that I just mentioned, they don't look like genocide maniacs do they, ha? No, they don't, and neither are the rest of the 99.99% of Serbian people. Oh, and what would Sremac be without his Sremica, without his wife. The woman who makes the best strudels. And not just that, but all sorts of goodies made of dough. But be aware, you don't want piss that woman off... Just trust me :) I'm off, I'm heding to kafana. Cold white wine and sparkling water is waiting for me... You can look me up, just follow the sound of tamburasi and you'll find me. I'm buying. See ya :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oS0vTrKZDxI

"Stop the Danube, and the sands of time. This is my song, and song of my dear. Let them accompany my everywhere. With the song of the best Wine. The eight tamburasi from the Petrovaradin"That is my favorite song, and that is my motto. Outside of Serbian Life......
Milos asked me to write the next
post.....not sure what he was thinking there. The topic is inside
Serbian life; I am not Serbian, I do not live in Serbia, I have never
even visited Serbia.
But, maybe that isn't such a bad thing
for this post. That gives me the chance to tell you not so much about
westerners' opinions but maybe about how westerners arrived at them
through ignorance, about not just Serbs, but the Balkan peninsula, as
a whole. As we should all know it is ignorance that breeds fear and
hate, or at the very least apathy, and apathy can be more deadly than
than the first two. It is my opinion that ignorant apathy was all
that was needed for several wrongs to be inflicted on the people of
Yugoslavia.
When I was in college I was a history
major and while my concentration was not European or the modern era,
I did take enough courses to have had a concentration in Modern
European History. Yet, with that much education I will now, freely
admit that I knew NOTHING about the Balkans. Why now? Cause I had to
learn to know that I had been ignorant.
Okay, so maybe I wasn't totally
ignorant, but the things I did know either were not truly important
or they were random facts that I had picked up somewhere along the
way. Yes, I knew about Vlad the Impaler and I knew the Ottoman Empire
had invaded and occupied, and I learned a few dates and facts. But I
truly knew nothing about the Serbs before the Ottoman invasion and
knew nothing about the occupation.
Now, I am not going to say that ALL
Americans were as ignorant as I was and still am; but considering
that unlike most American students, I focused on history and still
did not know The Balkans, I feel confident stating that the majority
of the American populous was even less informed than I was. At most
what the normal, everyday American knew was that Yugoslavia, had been
the enemy during the Cold War. That made it very easy for Americans
to assume the worst in the people of the land called Yugoslavia.
Typical everyday Americans are very
self-absorbed, materialistic people, whom tend to act like the world
ends at the end of their nose. For those flaws, Americans still tend
to like to think they are helpful, defenders of the underdog. They
see their country as the defender of all that is good and right and
free in the world. Unfortunately, most Americans are so busy keeping
up with the Jones, that they do not really take the time to know what
is going on in the world and to understand all sides of conflicts, as
much as we dislike our politicians we seem to still trust them when
they tell us that these people or this group is bad and we support
their decisions about how to handle said conflicts.
This poorly placed trust is what
happened in the Balkans in the 90's. Our media only showed the
“crimes” committed by the Yugoslavia Army. There was no logic, no
reasonable questions, no verification, no investigating by our media
that resulted in any story other than the ones that reflected
negatively on the Yugoslavia Army or the Serbian people. I blame that
on the fact that news has become business and in doing so has lost
any and all integrity that it once might have had. And we all know
that big business and politics are diabolical bed buddies.
Yet, even our leaders were ill informed
about the truth of the Balkans. For Tony Blair stated in April of
1999, “Kosovo is on the doorstep of Europe.” I am not sure how
many people consider the doorstep of their home to be in the middle
of their living room. But it is this very ignorance and
misunderstanding by most Westerners about the Balkans that allowed
such misdeeds to occur.
